Tim Scott was raised in Toledo, IA, a very small town, where Tim was very involved in sports and of course music. Tim played in a band throughout high school but after graduating decided to be the first in his family to get a college education. During college Tim had a chance to hit the road and play with a band however, he chose to finish school and received his degree in Psychology and Sociology in 1992.

After college Tim followed in his Dadâs footsteps of automotive sales; though Tim never gave up his dream of wanting to be a songwriter/singer. In 1998 Tim completed his first album called âBased on True Storiesâ. This CD consisted of rodeo songs that were inspired by his father who was a bull rider and his mom who was a trick rider in the rodeo for many years. Tim completed two more CDâs: âCowboy Way of Lifeâ in 1999 and âAnonymousâ in 2001.

In 2002 Tim lost his father to esophageal cancer and then in 2004 his mom to ovarian cancer. After losing his father Tim became inspired to write more faith based songs. Such songs as âCarry Me Awayâ were written about his Dad during his final days. Tim started his Bluegrass/Christian CD late in 2003 and after encountering and enduring many obstacles along the way finally finished in late 2004. His mom did get to hear the songs of this current CD before she passed in July 2004.

Losing both of his parents at such a young age and in such a short amount of time has been hard on Tim. However, Tim says his faith is what helped him get through the difficult days. After Timâs Dad passed God blessed him and his wife Jenny with a daughter who was born in 2003. From the moment she was born she was a Daddyâs girl. She loves to sing and dance with her Daddy.

This CD is being âdone for the Lordâ says Tim. He feels this was his true calling, to use his songwriting and singing talent to praise the Lord. His dream is to someday be able to do it full-time!
