"I'm Confessin' That I Love You" is a beautiful song first published in 1930. The song has been recorded by some of the most influential singers of the century including Tony Bennett, Ella Fitzgerald, Perry Como, and Lena Horne. The grace and style with which these artists performed has always inspired me. Although my own music is becoming progressively more contemporary I enjoy paying homage to this era.

I re-discovered this particular song through my involvement as a "Rube" in the major motion picture "Water for Elephants." The book by Sara Gruen set-up an incredible adventure that is coming to life on the big screen starring Reese Witherspoon, Robert Pattinson, and Christoph Waltz. A version of this song will be featured in the movie (not my version) opening on April 22nd 2011 and available on the soundtrack on April 19th 2011.

This particular version has a similar feel to Jeff Buckley's "Hallelujah" (by Leonerd Cohen). I hope you enjoy! I'd love to hear how it makes you feel.
