Turning Japanese! is our response to the disaster that hit Japan on March 11th. The 8.9 magnitude earthquake and subsequent tsunami caused extensive and severe damage in Japanâs north eastern region, devastating communities and taking lives. This is our effort to help the survivors, thank you for contributing. This compilation is released in conjunction with our Turning Japanese! event, which took place on 15th April 2011. All of the tracks on this compilation have been donated by the artists, ensuring every penny of profit raised with your help goes to Save the Children's Japan appeal to help those most vulnerable. The compilation boasts an exciting blend of Northern Irelandâs most distinguished artists together with rising stars of the broader electronic scene.
I would like to thank each of the artists who so kindly donated their works for the compilation and all the DJs who donated their time and talent to play at the fundraising event. I would also like to thank all those companies who donated prizes, baked buns and donated design time to help this project happen. Your efforts and generosity are kindly appreciated.
