In November of 2010, Kevin Brawley released his second full length LP called âOne in Tenâ on Copper Mind Records. Says Brawley, âMy life has been relatively drama free for the past few years, so Iâve had to draw inspiration from other places - it really forced me to approach the writing process differently, which in turn produced a different sound to this record.â The ten song collection expands on the ambient acoustic sound of his first release, 2007âs âWaltzing on Eggshells.â Listeners will immediately notice the addition of electric guitar, drum loops, saxophone, violin, and even pipe organ. âBeing a music major at UNCC exposed me to all these fantastic styles of music and ways of singing and playing I had never considered before,â says Brawley. âI really spent a lot of time focusing on adding specific textures to best bring out each songâs emotion.â

"One in Ten" features a mix of staples from his live show, such as the funky ode to his daughter - "Jala's Song" - and a mix of songs previously unheard.
