Eric Buell (Erock) and Eric Warren (EW) met while working together at The True Love Cafe in Sacramento, Ca.. The two Ericâs worked every Sunday together, orchestrating legendary Reggae Sundays. One night after work Erock invited EW over to his house to check out some beats. When they got there EW picked up a roommateâs bass, Erock turned on his computer, and they wrote âBig Upsâ. That night E-Squared was formed. Later, while attending a Tortoise concert EW met drummer, Anthony Ordonez. They had common musical interests so EW invited him to jam with E-Squared. He hesitantly agreed and has been playing with them ever since. The addition of long-time friend Eric Johnson on trumpet has rounded out the sound and it didnât hurt that his name happened to be Eric. Later, the crew added Sacramento bassist Mason DeMusey who, btw, can really hold down the fort. Check out our new cd recorded by Scott McChane entitled âThe Cover Upâ.
