Finally, after 8 years it's done!
Going into Gino Coelho's studio, in Amsterdam, the 27 of march 2003, we wanted to record a song of mine,
but my sequencer, small musical computer, CRASHED!!
And so to fill up the time left, I started to play a melody line on the piano, the one that can be heard all through the song.
Gino started to put on his musical skills, and we started to jam!
Because at that time there was this war issue with Irak and the USA, I needed to express my anger and frustration.
I got inspired and started to write, while Gino was putting the musical stuff together.
He recorded the whole jamm session on his computer and on c.d, about 7 minutes long, we decided to take a break, as we were going at it for quite some time.
After taking this break, we wanted to add some more stuff, and much to our surprise his computer crashed!!
This was just like the devil was playing with us, first my sequencer and now his computer! How could this be?
Thank goodness Gino burned the recording, on c.d., before we took a break, and so we had that piece of information.
But all the recorded info was GONE!! to start all over it would take us forever again, and so we decided to make another appointment for a recording session the 9th of april 2003.
We were so determined to finish this song, and let no other influences break us down.
We tried as close as possible to imitate the recording we did on the first take, the one we did on the 27th of march.
But believe it or not, after taking a break again, and even making a back up of our material, his computer crashed again!
This was too much for me, thank goodness he copied the session on c.d. the 9th of april again but all the recorded info somehow mysteriously dissapeared!
So now I was stuck with two c.d's with our jam session.
Gino got cold feeth, and said it was probably due to the fact that the lyrics in the song contained alot of God in it.
I laughed and said:" but this is what we need!"
I was sure, and determined that I was going to defeat this evil, which was stopping me from creating my song.
Years passed, and everyone who listenend to the song were always very positive and that I had to finish this song.
Sadly after a couple of years Gino decided to move back to his island Curacao, and so now it was very impossible for us to record the song unless I bought a ticket all the way to Curacao.
But no such luck, money wise, I wasn't able to do that, and so finally after buying a computer, and installing lots of musical technical stuff to it.
I took the two c.d.'s I had of our jam session, took the musical parts that were good enough, and mixed them together into one song. About 15 minutes worth of info. Now into 6 minutes song.
To my great surprise I had received an email from Gino, last year, saying that after moving, his mother found a dusty c.d of that recording we did way back then, he said we have to finish and do something with this song, don't know how, but we have to do it he said.
I smiled and laughed, and said:" I allready have."
One thing amazes me, is that after 8 years we still keep on having these wars! Killing innocent human beings, and creatures.
Slowly destroying our only home that God gave to us, to cherish and to keep save!
I feel from the bottom of my heart that God is crying, and is sad to see how we can do such hideous crimes!
What the hell is wrong with us?
What give us the right to kill another human being?
What gives you the right to invade my country, and kill my people?
Who or what gives you, or anybody the right to destroy my only world, my home, my forrest? my one and only reason of
living, this place we call mother earth, the one and only treasure and legacy we can leave behind for our children,
their grandchildren and so on..
All these unbelievable catastrophies are happening all over the world! And I wonder....

I hope at least this song can give us the courage, the love back into our hearts and remember that we are a child of God!
