ROCK: Hard Rock, METAL: Alternative Metal
Details:
Serpent Underground formed in early 2002 with Ralph (Lead singer/Song writer) and Bryan (Guitars). After a few months of song writing, the two decided the time had come to bring in a drummer--enter Rich.
In 2003, the trio began recording their first demo, "Spread the Warning." The result was creativity and vision. The lyrics embodied the thoughts and desires of each member encircled in a macabre and sinister musical theme. Many live shows would follow, including a very memorable performance at the Whisky a Go-Go in Hollywood in July 2004. The band played to over 200 screaming fans.
In September of 2004, Serpent Underground finished recording their latest demo, "Hail the Dawn". The demo consists of the songs âCarolineâ, âTangledâ, and âHail the Dawnâ.
The "Hail the Dawn" Demo unleashes a fury of wicked Industrial/Metal rhythms and soul piercing vocals. The "Hail the Dawn" Demo shows the diversity of its member's influences, as well as the infectious melodies and emotion provoking lyrics that tempt the masses.
Since its release , the âHail the Dawnâ Demo has received an overwhelmingly positive response. The song âCarolineâ has been featured on the X103.9FM âLocal Band Spotlightâ feature (San Bernadino, CA). The song âHail the Dawnâ has been featured on the WLFC 88.3FM âThe Foundryâ radio show (Findlay, Ohio). All three songs from the demo---âCarolineâ, âTangledâ, and âHail the Dawnâ have been on rotation on the Internet radio station âMetal Factionâ (www.metalfaction.com).
Serpent Underground recently acquired a new bassist, "The Bone" . He has added a new driving force to the band-- and live shows have never sounded better. The band is currently making itsâ mark in the new music scene, playing shows on a regular basis. Fan base and CD distribution are on the rise, "Itâs best that I spread the warning now, because when they strike it will be quick and from out of no where."...(Quote from espudd.com review of "Spread the Warning" demo).
