Boston's progressive roots reggae music.
12 MP3 Songs
WORLD: Reggae, ROCK: Ska
Details:
On April 1, 2006, Pressure Cooker drops it's fifth and most ambitious CD release entitled Futureâs History, live at Harperâs Ferry in Allston, Massachusetts.
Future's History contains twelve crucial & unique tracks of Pressure Cooker music. The band has established itself as a live musical force in Boston for nearly a decade. Hard hitting rhythm, horn melodies and lyrics on an old-school reggae rocksteady flavor reminiscent late 60's early 70's Jamaican sound. This is the new classic American reggae music, thoughtfully written and powerfully delivered through a horn-infused, nine piece supergroup.
Fronted by lead singer Craig Akira Fujita and backed by a core of talented Boston-area musicians, the band has thrilled audiences at clubs & festivals spanning from New England to Chicago. Over the years, Pressure Cooker has played in support of top artists of reggae music including Burning Spear, Toots & the Maytals, Prince Buster, Derrick Morgan, The Wailers, The Skatalites, Culture, Eek-A-Mouse, Julian Marley, Sister Carol & Gregory Isaacs.
