âPrayz1"

James Frager also known as Prayz1 has been a faithful member of his church the Lily of the Valley Community Outreach Ministries since the summer of 1998. Since he was born again of the water & of the spirit, God has truly elevated him in ministry where heâs being used through his music and with the word of God to preach Jesus to the hopeless. James is a graduate of Edward Bok Vocational High School, and has completed his study of Music at Kajem School of Recording Arts where he received Certification in Audio Engineering, Record Production, MIDI & Digital Production, Business Management, Booking, and Marketing & Promotions.

Being born and raised in the heart of South Philadelphiaâs Tasker Homes (Projects), his accomplishments have been greatly appreciated and embraced by all who have come in contact with it. Not only for the achievement in itself but for the struggles he overcame on the road as he works toward his goals. Before coming to Christ, James was well known in the streets for his rap talents. It was very obvious to those around him that success was bound to meet up with him in his journey. Suddenly right at the brink of what was more than likely to be a wealthy secular career he felt a nudging in his spirit to turn the other way. Confusing at first, he later realized why that nudging came, and the importance of him responding to it the way he did.

Hip Hop Music wasnât much of a desire to him anymore after God delivered him from the street life he was living. With that being the case he never wanted to hear any music that reminded him of where he used to be, but one day a friend of his gave him a CD of a Gospel Hip Hop group. He took a listen to it and was extremely surprised of the fact that he was actually being ministered to through this medium called âGospel Rapâ or âHoly Hip Hopâ. James knew now for a fact that it was possible to be used by God in like fashion and even though he was hesitant to accept the calling, God never let him stop moving forward in it. Now being empowered by God he goes by the name of âPRAYZ1" and is an anointed Rapper/ Singer/ Songwriter as well as Producer for the Lord. With this unique style, Prayz1 understands he has been commissioned to reach an unlimited range of souls and plans to continue his mission until the end of his time.

Prayz1 has been graced with the opportunity to work with producers such as Eric âBootyâ Green, BJ Shores and Irvin âIrvâ Washington, out of Philadelphia with a very large percentage of his material. He has also performed in many types of events throughout the Tri State area and beyond. Heâs been blessed to grace the stages of the Soul Café in New York City, sharing the stage with artists like Tye Tribbett & GA, ministering in Hezekiah Walkerâs New Jersey church assembly, various schools from elementary to the college level. Although Prayz1 loves his Philadelphia home and will always love it, he truly believes the ministry God has placed in him is capable of going to the ends of the earth. In Prayz1âs daily walk, he is reminded of Proverbs 15:33; Before honor there is humility; a scripture that plays a vital role in keeping Prayz1 rooted and grounded despite outstanding accomplishments for this carrier of the cross.
