Paul lives in Hudson Falls, NY with his wife Wanda and their children Jessica and Scott. He performed secular music in the greater Glens Falls, NY area in the '70s and 80s, and started writing and recording Christian music in 1994. Paul has performed his original and other Inspirational music at venues ranging from small country churches and county fairs, to the ABC-USA biennial convention in Denver, CO in 2005.
Paul's albums include "A Different Light", "Because", "Where Will You Go?", "Blessed", and his latest, "So Much More". More information, including a list of the songs on each album and audio samples, is available at Paul's website.
On the stage, Paul seeks to bring his audience into closer fellowship with God through the songs he sings and his own testimony. The music he performs is a mixture of his original music and the music of others. His style ranges from contemporary worship songs to traditional hymns and country Gospel. Many songs are performed with background accompaniment tracks that Paul prepares in his studio, while he performs others with live keyboard, often inviting the audience to join him, and leading them in a time of musical praise and worship.
Paul's prayer for his ministry echoes the prayer of Jabez in the Old Testament when he begged the Lord, "Oh, that you would enlarge my territory!" God answered that prayer for Jabez, and He is answering it for Paul's ministry as well. In fact, Paul's life and ministry are an awesome testimony to what God will do when we ask Him to bless us that we might bless others!
In the lower level of 63 Fairview Lane in Hudson Falls, NY is Serenity Sounds Studio, where Paul records his albums, background tracks, and his weekly radio program. Starting out with just a tape recorder, microphone, some keyboards, and a few blankets hung from the ceiling to isolate and deaden the sound, Paul and Wanda remodeled it in 1996, building double walls for soundproofing, installing acoustically insulated ceilings, and more equipment. The tape recorder was soon replaced by computer-based recording.
In 1994, Paul was asked to prepare a 30-minute radio show for broadcast on WWSC, a small AM radio station in Glens Falls, NY. Though having no experience in broadcasting, he decided to give it a try, and weekly radio program "Music With A Message" was born. Soon expanding to two 60-minute shows each week, the program aired on WWSC for 7 years, when Paul changed the name to "The Jesscott Music Hour". The program now airs on 2 local stations in the Albany and Glens Falls, NY area, and can also be heard on Paul's website. Artists are welcome to submit their music for the show, and may contact Paul via phone or email.
