ELECTRONIC: Dance, HIP HOP/RAP: Trip Hop

Details:
Patrick Lee is exceedingly tall and handsome and has been the latter since birth. He is a vegetarian. He studies jazz piano at the University of Colorado at Boulder and enjoys cooking Italian food in his kitchen. His talent is quite generous. His modesty is infinite.

Patrick Lee does not sweat.

As well as writing, recording, and producing over a dozen albums himself, Lee also founded the seminal Colorado funk bands the Analog Quartet and Doctor X, and is currently one-half of the up-and-coming indie project the Beebs. And when heâs not conquering the electro-funk-fusion scene, Lee still finds time for solo and ensemble work in the Denver jazz scene.

While classically trained, it's easy to see the influences of jazz, hip-hop, and electro-funk in Lee's works. Over the span of his lengthy discography - and certainly on his latest release, Twelve Tusk Piano - we hear samples of instructional videos, soul singers, classic jazz horns, and popular cartoons from our childhood - all the while, his infectious beats and clever melodies mold a soundtrack for the world around us.

Patrick Lee is a very nice guy, but he probably bets on sports more than your whole family combined.

He has won Album of the Year - every year.
