Allow me to introduce my self. My name is Rev. Otis Freelon. I am an attendant on a special needs bus for a school district in Spokane, Washington.
One day while sitting in the drivers' break room, I watched as two of my co-workers praticed a demonstration that they were going to present at a local elementary school. They were using a remote controlled school bus to help young children understand the need to be safe on and off the bus.
As I continued watching, another co-worker said "MAYBE OTIS CAN WRITE A SONG ABOUT OUR LITTLE BUS!!" Right at that moment, God began to give me words to write. It started with one song,and then it exploded into ten songs, all of which are presented here.
Each song not only refects the idea of safety, but also a ministry of hope for our youth as well. These songs can help children to understand the value of their life, as well as learning how to make the right choices. for
We are all responsible for the future of our youth, and if we can give them something postive that they can share, then we have done our job. Who knows?! I could be transporting and speaking with the next police officer, mayor,govenor, president of the United States, teacher, doctor, or other person of distinction.
Some of the songs may make you laugh. Some of the songs may make you cry. But it is my sincere prayer that all songs will cause you to think about the precious person you have in your midst to teach and train.
It is my prayer that this CD will open up an opportunity for you and your child to begin a dialog, not only with one another, but in your communities as well. I pray that something about this CD will touch you and bless you in a special way. God bless you richly.
