Cynthia Ross, born Cynthia Johnson in St. Louis, Missouri began singing at an early age. Her mom tells stories of Cynthia practicing for hours without stopping. While in middle school, was chosen to be apart of the Missouri State choir which performed at special City functions. Through out high school, participated in talent shows, worked small venues and worked with a jazz band. She worked during summers in a community choir that went throughout the city singing. Her gifted vocals have taken her throughout cities in the United States and abroad. Cynthia has lived in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. At that time she was a part of a duet and a small band. After a short stay in Malaysia, moved back to the states and her personal desires moved her closer to her first passion. The first love was singing for Christ.
In 1989, Cynthia met her husband, then Reverend Ray Ross, now Bishop Ray Ross. Together they are considered a dynamic duet! Singing, writing and producing together for the first 15 years of their marriage allowed them to cultivate music that best identified their unique style. Ray began writing songs that captivated Cynthiaâs unique singing abilities and the results were eye opening. Today Cynthia is not simply a singer but one who tells a story and paints a picture through her God given talents! She writes lyrics and knows how to bring a song to life. Cynthia takes none of the credit, but gives it all to God. She realizes it is a blessing to be able to share Gods gift with others.
