Details:
CD: Crossing The Borders: Celtic Folk Music:

This collection from Crossing the Borders represents a broad selection of music performed over the years. The CD includes folk music from both Britain and North American, much of which has itâs roots in Celtic music. The fact that one or two of the tracks represent a style more closely related to Appalachian or Bluegrass music, reveals the dynamic nature of the tradition. The wide variety of tradition folk instruments featured on this CD, not only demonstrates the versatility of the band, but provides a refreshing traditional flavor to the music.

Bio: Crossing the Borders first formed fifteen years ago, and over that period the Band has performed mainly
in Eastern Main and Southern New Brunswick. Gordon and Sarah Phillips, originally from the North of England and now residents of Campobello Island, New Brunswick., first collaborated with James Oâneill, a fine musician and visual artist whoâs background is Boston/Irish. John and Terry Viselli, with strong Italian and Irish roots, are originally from Rhode Island and now live on the East Coast, in the Bay of Fundy area. The Band performs British roots and Celtic music, with a hint of Bluegrass and Appalachian folk.
