âLA MAGIA DE LA NAVIDADâ
âLa Magia De La Navidadâ (The Magic of Christmas) on
Cosa Buena Records is a CD recorded in Spanish with 14 original songs and performed by 14 different artists from 8-58 years of age. This CD was composed by Ramon Perez Jimenez who wrote the music and produced the CD. Lyrics were written by Argentine born Dora Ester Wynveldt who found the way to express the many emotions felt in this recording.
Sensing the need to offer the Latin market a holiday CD with a variety of styles that would be appealing to the entire family, Ramon and Dora used different genres and dance beats like: Mariachi, Merengue, Cumbia, Pop Rock and a tinge of Latin Gospel to shape this CD into a versatile, dynamic fusion of sound.
Combined with inspirational themes such as:
âMi Oracion De Pazâ, âJesus Se Llamoâ, âYa Llego La Navidadâ and âLa Estrella De Navidadâ.
Dance oriented novelty songs like: âAbuelitaâ and
âOsito De Pelucheâ.
A Christmas Anthem: With âEl Dia De Diosâ.
The sentimental: âFeliz Navidad Padresâ, and
âMi Tierra Queridaâ.
A pop love ballad with a youthful appeal in:
âNuestra Navidadâ.
Children songs about Santa Claus that even adults will love like: âEl Gordito Santa Clausâ, âMi Papa Es Santa Clausâ, âEsperando Santa Clausâ.
And the title song âLa Magia De La Navidadâ, with a happy, uplifting theme in a Brazilian samba beat.
Carefully chosen musicians laid the foundation to this CDâs energy and drive.
With well crafted orchestration and arrangements by musician extraordinaire, Jose Arellano, and Producer, Ramon Perez Jimenez, the high quality sound of this CD was enhanced to its fullest.
Legendary trumpet player, Ramon Flores, who has performed with Juan Gabriel, Luis Miguel, Quincy Jones and many others, was called in to add the touch of excellence to the CD.
Mariachi Music Director, Richard Mata, who played the guitar, vihuela, and guitarron, and who along with violinists Leticia Sierra, Julio Rodriguez and Rocio Marron provided the authentic sounds of mariachi.
Others players who were involved in the project are Guillermo Guzman,Art Sanchez, and Pierre Allard on bass guitar.
Various percussion instruments were played by Michael Duffy, William Loya, Bobby D, and Rolando Walter.
Performing on tenor sax; alto sax; soprano sax and flute was Victor Cisneros.
Daniel Bejarano and Nicholas De Saulejac shared the drums on five different tracks.
Jack Majdecki, Maurice Ramirez, Ernie Hernandez, and Jonathan Morning were the guitarists.
On the tuba was Robbie Itioki.
And vocalists Gabriela Golding, Marleena Coulston, Stacie Chavez and Ramon Perez Jimenez provided the background voices, as well as Teresita Osuna and Krystal Osuna featured on âOsito De Pelucheâ.
