Castaway Kids Mexico is a charity group made up of a wonderful American, Canadian and Mexican volunteers willing to sponsor the less fortunate children and families of Guaymas. Castaway Kids is committed to making a positive difference in the lives of Mexican children in Guaymas and surrounding communities: by funding education scholarships to needy children, hosting recreational activities for children, providing food, clothing and shelter to families in emergency situations and mentoring children from underprivileged families.

Visitors to Guaymas and San Carlos are welcome at any of our meetings or events and visit the various past projects, such as our childrenâs park in the Fatima neighborhood and a new community center that the group helped to build in the Las Playitas neighborhood, dedicated as the Steve Tipton Educational Center and any meetings.

A couple of our notable fun days was a trip to Hermosillo where we took 50 underprivileged Mexican children on a bus, to a major league baseball exhibition game between the Arizona Diamondbacks and a team of Mexican all-stars. Another fun activity was a beach party with the students of Adelante Estudiante and their sponsors and volunteers hosted at the Paradiso Resort!

Volunteers are the backbone, heart and soul of our charitable efforts in Guaymas, and the generosity of our volunteers has grown over the years. Castawaykids is an all volunteer organisation with 99 of all charitable contributions that we receive reach our children and their families, we have no administrative overhead!

Castaway Kids Mexico AC is supported financially primarily by contributions through our United States branch, Castaway Kids Inc., a non-profit 501-C3 corporation founded in 2006 and based in Arizona, which accepts fully tax deductible contributions. Donations is an essential engine for positive change for our kids and their families, and allows us to buy essentials like food, clothing and shelter, as well as fund scholarships that open doors of opportunity for those in need.
