Jack Slam JP's Rope is a powerful album with driving music and melodic vocals. Exploring subjects from Great Kobe Earthquake to mortality to Japanese Politics to Kurt Cobain's death, Jack Slam's lyrics are both engaging and intelligent. Jack Slam was a big part of the now infamous Osaka, Japan indie music scene of the mid 90's. Rope was recorded on a Fostex R8 8-track reel-to-reel at The Underground, Studio F, Studio 102, Gabe's apartment in April & May of 1995. Live tracks were recorded at The Underground on April 1, 1995. The CD was mixed at Studio 102 by (Dr.) Nanatsutani. Band memers include Gabriel Whyel on Guitar, Ken Moore on Drums, Terry Allfrey on Vocals, and Kaji on Bass.
