Jim Banks (J-Banx) was born in Tiffin Ohio and after high school moved to Toledo Ohio where in 2000 he released his first cd Heartless. In 2002 he met Maurice Penn (Calibur), at the time going by the name 50 Calibur, thru a mutual freind and appeared on several Dark Half mixtapes produced by Calibur before going to Cali to make his second CD No More Games. Shortly after Banx joined Calibur and they officially formed the group Tha Dark Half. Banx changed his name to Fox Hoosier and they released 3 CD's over a 3 year span. After the 3rd release, Buckeye State, the duo took 3 years off from making music but returned in 2010 with a bang. Back to J-Banx and back with Calibur they released 8 CD's in 2010. Already Having relesaed a mixtape called Infamous, J-Banx long awaited new solo LP The Last Samurai will be released 4/20. He is also working on a new Dark Half album as well as a project called Buckeye's Finest with Calibur and Model. Stay tuned....
