Newz started collaborating with Mike Moore after both had worked together in a band called âSoundProofâ in the late 70s & early 80s. The two began to hone their skills as writers and producers and began to be part of a top group of session producers at United Sound/Groovesville studios. Although never straying far from Moore/Newz Productions as a central focus in the early 1980s, Newz began working with a number of other producers, like RJ Rice, The Barkays, and even members of Parliament Funkadelics.
In the late 1980s Moore/Newz placed a song entitled âThereâs No Otherâ on Deniece Williamsâ âAs Good As It Getsâ album, and even received an honorable mention in People magazine that year for their contribution.
Now Newz and Mike Moore team up to form the CTU record label, and introduce their first labor of love: the upcoming CD from Roxanne Dawson, entitled âLife is a Giftâ with a dynamic single entitled âLoveâs Not What It Seemsâ. The production team may be older, but definitely getting BETTER, with our noses, and ears to the grindstone, CTU records will be a label that caters to quality music content: âThatâs why weâre here for the long haulâ, says Newz.

Now Newz shares his magic again as an artist with a fitting tribute to his mother: entitled âMotherâs Loveâ
on the CTU Records label. The touching melody will stay with each person who hears this song.
