Originally from Virginia, Minnie Dee moved to New York City when
she was 16 years to dance professionally with the Dance Theatre of Harlem.
After many years of touring the world, she returned to New York to study acting.
Her pursuits in acting lead her to land a role in James Tobakâs film âBlack & White.â
Minnie caught the bug for music when she began performing as a back up singer
for the popular New York cult band âMike Sandwich.â She picked up the guitar
with ease and began writing her own songs. Over the past four years Minnie has
compiled quite a collection of soon to be hits.
