INDULGENT LUCIE BIOGRAPHY
Indulgent Lucie is a pop-rock band engineered by guitarist/songwriter Walt Willems, bassist Anthony Colonna and stellar vocalist/Lyricist Patrick Trovato.
Indulgent Lucieâs music fuses the Police style pop with a broad, fun loving sensibility. Says guitarist/songwriter Walt Willems âAt the start of the band, Tones (Bassist Anthony Colonna) and I really wanted to put together a group of accomplished players that could realize the vision we had entirely. We knew we had some good material; we just needed the right chemistry to bring it to life. When Patrick came down for rehearsal one night, we knew we had something instantly. Truth is, the second he opened up his mouth to sing, it shattered any kind of preconceived notions as to whether we could really do this. You can hear that âsparkâ in the soul of the band. The music is pure breed. Our fans respond to it for that reason. The artistic credibility that is lacking in some of todayâs music can be found in the fountain of LUCIE. (Laughs) It was really the three of us for a while until John came along. That really put us on the map.â Rock fusion drummer John Ludwig brought the material out of its shell and the progress was just astounding. âThe songs were no longer just blueprints. With Johnâs input, the band just got better dynamically. He has the Stewart Copland flair with the Phil Collins song sensibility.â Most recently songwriter/Keyboardist Elaine DiMasi (A musician in her own right prior.) joined the fold. âShe added a much needed melodic element to the material. âI always wanted a keyboard player in this band. The trouble was there just arenât enough of them to go around. When Elaine came in, it helped that she was actually a fan of the music before. So she had a respect for it. She gave us credibility.â
Recently music promotion company, Live Music Media (also based on Long Island) came across our music on myspace. Owner Lorraine McCarthy says "Indulgent Lucie, is a band that will indulge your soul. Their song "Drunk On Mars" is a sure fire hit with tasty hooks, harmony and the essence of purity come through in this track." Since Lorraine contacted us, Live Music Media is helping to promote Indulgent Lucie, through their regional TV and Internet Radio Show "HomeGrown Music."
Indulgent Lucie have been playing out regularly for the past 2 years with a specific concentration in the NYC market. They are a staple act at âThe Bitter Endâ a landmark NYC club. âThat club just gave us a shot out of nowhere; I never thought weâd even get past the gatekeeper. The promoters in the city believe in music. Donât get me wrong, if you donât have a fan base itâs going to be a hard sell. But Lucie has always had that.â That same steady following continues to grow with every live performance they give. âWe have just gotten a response that we never expected from the audience. It became apparent that it was time for our return to our âIslandâ.â
On May 22, 2010, Indulgent Lucie is playing their first Long Island gig in 2 years. âWe are returning to our roots, everyone knows a band is nothing with out the place they come from. Iâm born and bred here. Iâm not afraid of that, Iâm really stoked about it.â

Indulgent Lucie finished a 6 song EP entitled INDULGENT LUCIE. The music is a mixture of modern reggae with a pop/rock feel. There musical influences include: The Police, The Who, and Sublime.
