Zulayka R&B Latin music Brooklyn New York style

This Brooklyn raised Puerto Rican vocalist has a diverse musical background. In addition to performing R&B and dance-pop, Zulayka has performed straight-ahead Latin music. A former member of the group âConjunto calle 4 bandaâ, which performed traditional Puerto Rican music such as Merengue, Salsa, and Bachata. The band released its first album in 2000 titled âestudiando llegaremos which means âstudying we will arriveâ.

Zulayka has since taken her career solo performing both on the east and west coast. Her music style is R&B Latin Music âBrooklyn New York styleâ, which is a mix of Reggaeton, R&B and traditional latin music. According to review.com an independent Artist and recording review firm, âOne hears hints of Ivy Queen (Puerto Ricoâs leading female reggaeton star) in her funky dance-pop songs such as âComo un Angel/Like an Angelâ. Zulayka is currently self-promoting her new singles, "Como un Angel" and âSay what you wantâ and âNo differentâ for her EP, scheduled to be released in September 2011 âFor my Peopleâ.

Zulayka has opened for popular recording Duo from Puerto Rico, Alexis y Fido, famous for their Reggaeton music along with, Ace Cali and G-O in Ocean side, CA. The performance in Ocean side earned her an interview in July 2010, with Music TVâs winner of the realty show âGâs to Gentâsâ, âMitoâ on his web-based radio station, web tuned radio.com. Zulayka was personally introduced on stage during her opening act for Nikki Jams by Mr. Fonzworth Bentley of Bad Boy records.
