Driving melodies surface from an intricate foundation of human and electronic beats, stitched together by indie rock elements that recall this duo's adolescence in the nineties.

People who are interested in Modest Mouse The Arcade Fire The Postal Service should consider this download.
Details:
The Wrong Airport is based out of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and is comprised of two fine arts graduates from Carnegie Mellon University. Ryan Woodring and Patrick Torrez have constructed an album that is about nodding our heads to heartbreak, stomping our feet to memory, and singing along to the beauty of it all.
Each song from Arrivals & Departures stands on its own, yet carries the signature of the band's unique writing style. With only two members, creating the sound of a full band requires on-stage multitasking, and Patrick and Ryan each bring a diverse range of sounds to the mix. Ryan's vocals are supplemented by beatboxing, bass, and electronic drums, while Patrick adds guitar, electronic loops, synth, and vocals. Finally, by using live looping, the small band is able to build rhythmic layers that can be torn down at a moments notice by a swift change in mood and melody. Arrivals & Departures feels like a road trip with plenty of detours along the way.
