Chanel Velasco entered the world with a drive to create poetic lyrics, a passion for music, and a deep love for the art of song in her blood. Her unique, edgy vocals, and soul-rooted lyrics take part in this bilingual singer/songwriterâs energetic personality and show that she brings a new meaning to pop music.

âI canât remember a moment where I havenât been creating through music. Growing up, I was always making up melodies and singing them; performing what I create is Godâs greatest blessing,â says the seventeen year old. âThroughout my rough patches in life, music gave me solace and I want anyone who listens to my music to take this notion with them: if you believe in yourself anything can be accomplished⦠The art of music changed my life and I can only hope to give others the same through what Iâve experienced.â

The Southern California native stands to show that the dream has to start with the drive. A dream that was planted and has grown with that same drive. There is no end to her path; Chanel strives to make a difference: boldly taking creative matters into her own hands. Chanel Velasco lives in Southern California with her parents and four younger siblings. She is currently a senior at a Performing Arts high school.
