Aloha Everyone! Us (Da North Shore Surf Band) have played their Own Brand of Nonconforming , Innovative, "Original Music" in the Hawaiian Islands, for more than ten years. Their Original Sound encompasses Rock, Superior Surf Music, Pop, Reggae, Rap, Ska, Jazzy, Mellow and Hip Hop (Hip Hop isn't on this Album) as you will notice, when you listen to their Second and Newest Album, "Too Busy Surfing".
Members of the Band do not compromise their musical morals. They like to play, "Original Music". They are Unique and True to their Musical Art Froms.
Us's Music, is on Seven Surf Videos, the Movie, "Surf Ninjas" and it's Sound Track (by Atlantic Records), along with Tone Loc, Bad Company, Marky Mark, etc, etc. And their Music, is played on Surf TV Programs: H30 (way back), Back Door, Board Stories and Ra (Australian). Their Music Video of "Dance on the Water", by Jeffery S. Caldwell, won a Music Video Contest here in Hawaii and was played on MTV. also, Us's Music, has been played on Radio Stations around the World.
"Us", also turned down an offer to be on Atlantic Records. I know most Bands would do about Anything, to be on Atlantic; Lep Zeppelin, Aretha Franklin, Frank Zappa, Ray Charles and lots of Big Artist and Bands are on Atlantic. And most people, think we're Nut's not to go with Atlantic Records. But We think, the Big Record Companies, like Atlantic, basically, tie you up, Suck you in and Later, Rip you Off and Spit you out. But they Could and Do, Make Lots of Band's Big, Rich and Famous. We Feel we Don't need or want them.
If you LOVE "ORIGINAL MUSIC" Great Vocals and Lyrics, Ripping Guitars, Smoking Sax, Great Bass and Percussions; this Album Goes OFF!!! Their Wide Range of Musical Styles and Five lead Vocalists, makes this Album: "Too Busy Surfing", Very Interesting, Fun and Exciting!
