This album is the very first album by gypsyjazz band "Mens En Van Tongeren". they had very good reviews in a lot of magazines in the netherlands. They called it the best dutch gipsy jazz album in a long time.
They play both originals by Jelle van Tongeren and Lex Mens and standards like How High The Moon, Cherokee and September Song. highlights are: the title track "Tastisch" which was written by Jelle van Tongeren when he was 16. and the beautiful "Kyrie" by Lex Mens which was originally a part of a mass but re-arranged by Jelle it appeared to be a perfect swing tune as well.
