Born, February, 25, one thousand, nine hundred and seventy-one years after her savior, Jesus Christ. The prophet spoke into her mother's womb the gift that God had already given. At a very early age, Val began to develop into the songwriter she is today. Though, clearly not fitting the mold of the religious establishment, she continues to spread the gospel of Jesus through song.

Val Payne's devotion to the work and will of God is evident in her latest project. Her goal is to make the love of the Savior known to all and to make the work of the Savior a matter of relation and not religion. She teams her lyricism and vocal arrangement with partner, Deidrick Smith's musical composition to create what will be known from this date as Rhythm and Gospel. Rhythm and Gospel takes the best of rhythm and washes away the blues with the Gospel. Believing that the harvest is ripe, Val is taking the gospel to the streets, where it's needed the most.
