AURICULAR - for those who still don't know - is the project of Daniel Vernunft of Shiva Chandra fame and Thomas Johanshon aka DJ Mapusa Mapusa.
Their first production 'Schaukelstuhl' was a major success and instantly became a big hit with global outreach.
Following up the extensive resonance of this initial release, their debut album AUDION, released in 2001, presented a new genre defining style of minimal progressive trance. The two Hamburg based trance activists have since then been a sought after live act all around the world, appreciated and loved for their intelligent morning sound.
Besides touring the world with their kicking sets, AURICULAR had other successful releases on Plusquam Records. 'Flight Control' released on the 'Irresistible Meltdown' compilation, as well as the 'PROG POP e.p.', have shown their technical and musical development...

Now we can finally announce the release of their follow-up album TIME. Based on powerful basslines and organic grooves, developing rhythms and melodies fuse together in a refined and immaculate production style. The listener will hear tracks ranging from stomping off-beat to groovy progressive beats. Building hinted melodies unfold into atmospheric trance themes, mixing in with mellow tribal
sound textures and guitar riffs varying from funk licks to experimental effects. TIME is AURICULAR's most accomplished album to date, bustling with ideas and inspiration.

On TIME we present a collection of 9 tracks, 8 of which are new and unreleased. Some of you may have heard someof the tunes in one of AURICULAR's live sets during the summer. The last track 'Coutchrutscher' is a bonus track previously only released on vinyl.
