This Edwardian Era shawl has a border of Maltese Lace Crochet (or Hairpin Lace Crochet) and is beautiful and interesting to make. The body of the shawl is in a cross-treble design. You will need a hairpin lace frame or "staple" along with your crochet hook for this one. The pattern calls for a 2 1/4 inch staple.
The shawl is 40 inches square before the border is added.
