Crochet pattern to make a Depression Era book bag out of No. 10 crochet thread using a size 5 steel crochet hook. Two buckles required to make as shown.
Model shown in photo is about 10 inches high, but you can adapt pattern to your size of choice--for example, to make a great laptop computer bag.
