Vequinox started in 1998 in Pittsburgh, PA. They wanted to play music that was
different from the average rock band. Both members were long time enthusiasts
of World/Ambient music, 80's alternative/new wave, and music from
the late 60's. Their influences include: Enigma, Loreena McKennit, Bally Sagoo,
Vas, Dead Can Dance, Current 93, etc. They appeal to a very diverse audience. Their
music breaks generation gaps, and brings many different types of people together. They enjoy playing nightclubs, coffee houses, art galleries, etc. The Live shows
are both entertaining as well as educational.

McKeesport Daily News
David Sallinger
"Venus Waxing," is not music from the heart of space, but a dance provoking instrumental that's sorta spooky (and an album favorite)." "Where else are you
going to hear your basic guitar sharing the stage with bowed psaltery?"
-David Sallinger, Entertainment Editor (McKeesport Daily News).
Club Laga
Matt Heilman
"There is a really interesting and unique local band developing in the city.
They play an eclectic blend of middle-eastern inspired world music, sometimes
dark, and sometimes tinged with an engrossing psychedelia."- DJ Imperium
(Club Laga).
