Former lead singer of the band Angelstitch and current lead singer of Syndicate both bands out of Maryland, Val Cain releases his much awaited first solo album. As a recording engineer at Avalon Recording Studios in Bethesda, Maryland Cain had engineered for numerous acts before beginning work on his solo debut. Val Cain performed all instruments off of his debut album HIV and engineered every song as well. HIV which might leave confusion as an album title is explained along with several other topics some might consider taboo, and Cain makes sure that his words are clear and understandable. With a voice a that has been compared to Marilyn Manson, Chino Moreno ( Deftones ), and Trent Reznor ( Nine Inch Nails ) Val Cain backs up his relevant lyrics with a great voice. HIV is an album with its own style and never a dull moment. Unlike most albums HIV has no filler songs if you like one song you will like them all. Cain believes every song should sound like a single and because of his access at a recording studio he can spend as much time as he needs to achieve his vision.
