Building from a quiet intensity to an in-your-face chant reminiscent of the Ramones, the song follows a take-no-prisoners bunch who confidently stroll the halls of high school, professing how far theyâve come without acknowledging that they obviously have a long way to go. Beneath the humor and wit of the narrative lies a metaphor for being a sophomore in the grand scheme of life, making the lyrics as thought provoking as they are entertaining.
Blick Van Glory is the creation of Los Angeles-based filmmaker Todd Edwards, who wrote the songs featured in the movie Hoodwinked. Blick Van Glory's album The Search for Quest is produced by John Mark Painter (Ben Folds, Fleming and John). The song "The Sophomores" features drummer Lindsay Jamieson (Ben Folds).
