Vision is a 4-piece Rock/Classic Rock band with a huge palette of sounds and styles, but one common thread that travels through all the songs-honesty. Pat Blackwell, Charles Mayfield, Sammy Eakins, and John Fowler make up the band and bring a style and taste that is seldom heard even after decades on stage.
With influences as diverse as the Beatles, Journey, Chicago, Clapton, James Taylor, Eddie Money, Kansas, and Aerosmith, it's no wonder that Vision is so adept at the wide range of styles that they perform. All the members of Vision have performed in a professional capacity in the upstate of South Carolina since the early eighties, and continue to lay down the grooves all over the south.
Pat Blackwell on bass is a well-developed writer and singer with a penchant for the fun side of rock. Sammy Eakins handles most lead guitar work, while writing and singing on a world-class level. Charles Mayfield on rhythm guitar and keyboards, has been writing for over 30 years, and has won several awards for writing. John Fowler is the newest member, but a longtime friend and writing partner. Holding a solid, tasteful backdrop on the drums, John is an asset in every aspect of the music and is also an accomplished writer and singer with his own style.
Mixing all these elements can be tricky, but the guys in Vision have the chemistry, the talent, and the desire to further their music and build their audience.
