It can honestly be said of Vibe Committee that the band does not choose its music, but the music chooses the band. Set forth on a path of musical revolution, the music of Vibe Committee is constantly evolving in a symbiotic fusion of acid jazz, straight jazz, funk, soul, hip-hop, R&B, reggae, rock-a-billy, rock, latin, punk, bluegrass, and the kitchen sink thrown in for good measure. Not trying to be anything but themselves, Vibe Committee reaches beyond genres to create music with a feeling that you can't quite put your finger on, but you know it feels good.

Formed in 2000 in Houston, Texas, Vibe Committee regularly plays venues spanning the state including The Continental Club, Last Concert Cafe, and Rudyards. Vibe Committee has also shared the bill with national acts like EWF, Boston, Oteil Burbridge, Chicago, and Vince Welnick of the Grateful Dead. December of 2005 marked the long awaited release of the band's first full-length album, Flavor. Recorded at Sugar Hill Studios with Senior Engineer Steve Christenson, the album has already drawn industry praise. Joey Guerra of the Houston Chronicle describes Flavor as "sexy and seductive" and "showcasing a mature, evolved sound."
