Details:
A classically trained singer originally from Chattanooga, Tennessee, Lindsey Noelle Brown began singing practically as soon as she could talk. She began performing in childrenâs theatre at the age of 8, and quickly developed a love for all things Broadway. As a result, her early influences were Bernadette Peters, Barbra Streisand, and Patti Lupone. She continued her training during high school and college, and, over the years, has been the lead singer for a rock band, sung jingles for commercials, and worked as a singing waitress at the âChattanooga Choo Choo.â
In 2005, Lindsey was seen as "Belle" in a Chattanooga, TN production of Disneyâs Beauty and the Beast, for which she won an award for Best Actress at the Chattanooga Theatre Centre. Performing for Disney remained a dream of Lindseyâs, and in January 2006, she became an entertainment performer at Walt Disney World. While singing at a Disney convention, Lindsey had the great fortune to meet Krystof Srebrekowski, who introduced her to his beautiful and original compositions. The two have formed an artistic partnership, the result of which is, âA Time To Celebrate,â Lindseyâs debut cd. The two have already begun collaborating on their next project, which will be a compilation of Broadway classics.
Krystof Srebrakowski was born in the Western part of Poland next to the German border. As a 5 year old kid he started taking regular piano classes, ballet and organ. His teacher was German, rooted in the tradition of great composers of the Baroque, Classical and Romantic periods of history. He was exposed to works of masters as a child, and his love towards music grew constantly. Oddly nobody in his family had anything to do with arts professionally, although they are people of high education and culture. Krystof composed his first piece of music, âPrelude in F# Minorâ at the age of 11. He graduated from Conservatory in Poland, with a Master's in Music Education, and then moved to Boston. He studied English at Harvard, and jazz piano performance at Berklee College of Music. In 1996 he settled down in Orlando, Florida, and began performing at WDW, where he played all possible shows at Disney, including countless conventions, recitals, and jazz concerts.
Krystof has toured with Jodi Benson (the voice of Disneyâs âThe Little Mermaid,â), and has also performed with Regina Belle, Peabo Bryson, Beth Fowler, the Nelson Riddle Orchestra ( Original Nat King Cole band ). He has shared the stage with David
Sanborn and Jim Stafford among others, and recorded several albums, including a solo CD entitled "Dream Journey.â While with Disney, he was a bandleader for Phil Collins show at Disneyâs Animal Kingdom, "Tarzan Rocks" which ran from 1999 till 2006. He continues to perform for Disney conventions and special events, which is where he met Lindsey Noelle Brown, and began collaborating on the debut holiday cd, âA Time To Celebrate,â for which he composed all of the original arrangements. He and Lindsey are presently working on a new album featuring Broadway favorites to be released in early 2007.
