Whats up pros. I'm gonna tell yall about me, L-Professo. I grew up in Walnut Creek California, biggest little city in the bay. I graduated Highschool and headed for Chico for that college education. In 2001 i started rapping with my friends Coco Cologne and Pelican. We started flowing during smoke breaks from playing video games. So we thought, shit, lets record it. We were super amateur and recorded through a video camera. And we mostly existed in the ears of our friends and family, shows and exposure were not part of the plan. Cologne would make a beat and we would rap about anything in mind; aliens, fish, girlies.
Uncommon Cents gradually separated but we all still collaborate as solo artists. Within the last two years of college i was doing shows in Chico with friends: nutrients and Happy. We called ourselfs "Bayless", hiphop away from the bay. We would mostly do house parties but we did a few bars around the town. But now i am back in Walnut Creek, and want to take it to the next level.
My style is now honed and the beats are coming more simple and strong. I'm tired of hearing this mind numbing shit up on the radio (not all radio is bad). Im thinkin theres gotta be people out there searching for real hip-hoppers like me. That other shit is cool for the clubs, but what are u gonna listen to after the club or on road trips (l-professo).
I got some equipment and am learning more about the biz and production. I got tired of waiting/ depending on other people to make this music thing happen, so i learned and went solo. I've got everything to gain and really not much to lose. So i started making beats two years ago and produced and pressed my first CD in May 2006. It's called "SCHOOL HIGH" and its 11 tracks of clever, anti-gangsta flow. Its fulla hard hittin bass, kicks, and a message that sticks. I tried to make School High like nothing else out there; i think that was accomplished. There is another Fesso Project coming in the near future (not yet named), look foward, cuz i am.
