Laramie Roush:
Music has always been one of the main driving forces behind Laramie "Larry" Roush's life. As a performer and composer he has appeared on stages in two continents, recorded two critically acclaimed solo albums of original music and provided the music for The Fightin' 79th In World War II, a multimedia history CD-ROM. As a guitar, bass guitar and piano instructor, his influence has led many to pursue their musical paths as far as possible and many of his students have gone on to obtain degrees at colleges throughout the country. The culmination of all his hard work and passion came in 2003, when he became a guitar professor at his alma mater, the University of Rio Grande, Rio Grande, Ohio.

After a short stint with the U.S. Army, which included a year in Berlin, Germany, Roush returned to civilian life and received his Bachelor's Degree in 1994. He has toured regionally with a number of music groups since the mid 1980's, usually while simultaneously maintaining a heavy schedule of students he privately instructs.

Extremely proud of his native American Heritage, Roush created and taught an online Cherokee Language class for nearly three years and was the Principal Chief of the Overhill Band of the Eastern Cherokee Nation for a year. In his spare time he is working towards getting his private pilot's license. He currently resides in Gallipolis, Ohio with his wife, Diana and their two children, Jade and Laramie.

Album/Band

_______________________________________________________
Since appearing on the music scene in 2003, The Laramie Roush Band has been thrilling audiences throughout the Ohio Valley with their blend of blues-tinged Rock n Roll and energetic stage show. Now, with their debut CD, "American Men", they have set their sights on bringing their own brand of "Blue Collar Rock n Roll" to a much wider audience.

Brothers Earl and Jeff Mullins, on drums and bass guitar respectively, provide a steady, no-frills foundation for the versatile twin-guitar attack of Shawn Eads and Hanover Fist alumnus Laramie Roush. The result is what Skidro of Landzedge Radio fittingly dubbed "The first truly Blue Collar Rock 'n Roll Band in decades - there's no pretense, no bullshit, nothing but catchy tunes by four guys that will keep you rocking till the night is nothing but a fuzzy memory."

"The band may bear my name," Roush says," but it's truly four brothers united in giving it their all. We're not happy live unless we've given the people everything we've got and the same was true when we recorded this album. We were drained by the time the mix was finished."

Produced by the band and noted producer / engineer Doug Edwards, from the opening riff of "American Man" (written for Earl's son and all veterans who have served in the US military), to the scorching "B.M.F." (Short for "Bad Mo Fo") the CD is an 11 song tribute to those individuals who helped to build the United States into the great nation it is.
