ELECTRONIC: Pop Crossover, POP: with Electronic Production

Details:
With the massive club popularity of few others in the 1990's, London helped to change club music along with fellow New York contemporaries Deee-lite and RuPaul.

The underground pop chanteuse brought the colorful sights and sounds of New York's club culture into the mainstream, spearheading a digital assault on the senses that mixed house, techno, pop, ambient and funk music with an outrageous visual flair and pure pop tongue in cheek lyrics.

London became hugely popular among New York club denizens, and the singer's broad fan base brought all cultures, races and economic groups together, largely due to London's deep interest in social issues. In 1992, she debuted with 2 sold out shows at the infamous Limelight Nightclub, playing to over 3500 fans each night. Not long after, her first album, "London Calling" was released to New York DJ's. The album includes club hits "You Want This", "Runaway", "Divine Playground" and "Calling".
