the evolution of gothic music. this is what vampires listen to on their day off.
9 MP3 Songs
ROCK: Goth, SPOKEN WORD: With Music
Details:
nexus-7 is seattle's newest gothic rock band, and future rulers of the planet. the project has evolved from the underground zine 'toxin' by eclectic dada artist and hollywood pornstar minski. seattle musicians lucky (who keeps minski locked in the basement) and christopher (who owns a real kilt, and isn't afraid to use it) have translated the insane stories into music.
they have been playing music for years, christopher being the genius behind several other projects as well as operating a smoking hot recording studio on bainbridge island. lucky has always been an artist (it's a great excuse to be lazy) - painting, writing, filmmaking, and of course, music. each medium allows a new way to tell a story, or at the very least give a voice to something which would otherwise go unheard.
the name nexus-7 comes from the philip k. dick novel 'do androids dream of electric sheep?' and from the film classic 'blade runner.' more information on the band, as well as copies of the original 'toxin' zines are available by contacting lucky through this site.
If you're listening to us for the first time, we recommend you check out tracks 2, 3, 7 & 8. Thanks for listening, and if you like what you hear, pass on the word.
