From the first song âShakespeare Saidâ that incorporates words from a variety of Shakespeareâs writings set to Classic Rock dynamics, to the last song âThe Setting Sunâs realization that even though this really is a small world, when the one you want to be with is not near-by, the distance is too great.
The eight songs make clear, direct and honest statements that hark back to a revolutionary time, a time quite different than today. The recipe for this CD is also simple. The music is guitar driven (you know a Stratocaster plugged into a Marshall), an acoustic guitar, bass guitar, drums, and a sprinkling of piano with a hint of harmonica added in, shaken, stirred and brought to boil.
I just hope oleâ Will Shakespeare isnât too disappointed with what I have done with his words.
