17 moods all centered around an acoustic piano. Meditate. Dance. Feel on top of the world or feel sorry for yourself. Cry. Laugh. Drink wine. Contemplate nature. Sip a pina colada on a tropical beach.
19 MP3 Songs
CLASSICAL: New Age, NEW AGE: New Age
Details:
This CD was originally conceived as a birthday present for my Dad. He is a musician and I thought it would be fun to write a bunch of solo piano pieces for him instead of purchasing some product that he would probably use once and then never touch again. I wrote and recorded 8 songs for him. After he received the present, he suggested that I make the pieces available to everyone. At first I hesitated. After all, I wrote these for him as a gift. They weren't meant to be released to the world. But he insisted. So I went to work writing additional tunes to flesh out the project. It became apparent after a while that a CD full of these solo piano pieces would become tiresome (at least to me), so I decided to embellish some of the piano tracks with percussion, strings, bass and some synth sweetening. Not too much, though, because I still wanted the emphasis to be on the acoustic piano. The original 8 solo pieces remained untouched. The rest, well, they followed their own course. I won't tell you which ones were the original 8. That way, they will still be my Dad's alone to know.
