The Story of Next Phaze...
Next Phaze represents a constant journey. For the past five years, a transition has taken place from practicing a hobby to perfecting a career. Mental and physical hours have been spent working, thinking, singing, dancing, and simply having fun. And for each member, this journey has just begun...
Delfin Lazaro, Chris Dacoron, Carlo Ricafort, and Rich Gaddi all met during high school, singing in both school and church choir. They chose the name, âNext Phaze,â because of its meaning: a new stage of development. This represented their style and personality, and reminded them to constantly strive to become better artists and people. With a group and a name, the next step, naturally, was to perform. Gigs came easily since each member had friends and family looking for musical entertainment. They slowly gained experience through these smaller performances and were eventually noticed by different producers who wanted to book them for larger venues. For the next two years, Next Phaze performed in different cities throughout California: San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego, Sacramento, Hayward, Milpitas, Cupertino, San Jose, and Stockton to name a few. Their performances ranged from birthday parties with two hundred people in attendance, to concerts in front of thousands. Every show came into play as Next Phaze raised enough money to start their label and fund the production of their debut EP album, Next Phaze.
After releasing their EP album in 2003, the group worked endlessly to promote the album throughout California and the US. They landed shows in Seattle, WA and Atlanta, GA, and gained more attention from different managers, producers, and labels. Now the guys are back in the studio working on an upcoming, full length album to be released this year 2006. Their goal is still the same: to break into mainstream America. Watch for these four young artists because no matter what it takes, they will get there.
