Details:
âMusic has the deep ability to transcend this world and bring forth lessons from places you didnât know existed. Itâs one of the most powerful art forms out there in that it can uplift or offend, make us weak or help us find our inner strength.â
Finding inner strength is what Nathan Temby did while creating his debut album, "Pocket Change". His piano-based melodies and the ability to paint a complex canvas with words are reminiscent of Tori Amos and Carole King while his vocal style has been compared to Barry Manilow. All of this comes together to create an album of honest, open songs about life and the lessons it teaches us all.
Leaving the turmoil in his hometown of Sacramento, California, at twenty to write and record in San Francisco Nathan has since proven himself on the live stage as well as in the studio. His performances always garner great praise and a deep audience appreciation. He has been featured on the main stage at Sacramentoâs Gay Pride as well as its annual Rainbow Festival, and has enjoyed over fifteen return engagements at The Cannery in San Franciscoâs famous Fishermanâs Wharf district.
In February 2007, Nathan will be hitting the road to begin aggressive promotion of the album in the U.S. prefacing the tour with two singles being serviced to college and commercial radio. The tour will feature Nathan alone at the piano delivering his work in the most intimate of settings and continuing to build a close-up connection with his fans.
