COUNTRY: Modern Country, COUNTRY: Traditional Country
Details:
Nancy J. was born in Guntersville, AL, made her singing debut at age 5 and has been singing ever since. She was in the High School Chorus, with local bands, and continued her singing career after college. She won her first singing contest at age fifteen and proceeded to win contests in Nashville at The Nashville Palace and Twitty City.
Nancy kicked off her professional career by touring the Southern U.S.A. with road bands, making TV appearances on such shows as The Dole Brady Show and AL. TV Channel 31's A Country Affair.
Her first album, âWelcome to the Good Lifeâ, was produced by Nancy herself in 1999. She sent it to A.M.I. Records to see what would happen. A.M.I. responded with an offer to record two singles with her. She recorded the two singles and A.M.I. released her first single entitled âWrong Mister Right Againâ in Feb, 2001. It peaked at Number 7 on the top 100 Independent Country Charts, and stayed there for 8 weeks. It's success resulted in her return to Nashville in the Spring of 2002 to record her first A.M.I. Album, âYou Go Girlâ. Nancy has had several radio singles released from the CD since its completion.
Whether she sings live with a band, with professional music tracks or hosts karaoke and DJ's dance music, Nancy packs the house everywhere she goes. Her natural showmanship, multi-style singing ability, and genuine care of people have made her a hit to fans and friends. She gives God the credit and thanks to her producer Michael Radford, at A.M.I. Records, and the many radio stations who have given her songs airplay.
