Details:
With their third full length release, Cedar Falls, Iowa's NineDollarMelonBaller has elevated themselves to a songcrafting and performing level positioning themselves as a future force in rock and roll.

Still carrying the powerful signature essence of their earlier music that carved them into o ne of the most popular bands in the Hawkeye State and neighboring environs, a definite pop slant to the songs tempers the music slig htly but also gives it a serious lift.

Just feel the brooding intensity of the lead track "Nothing At All" and you get a go od idea right from the start of the progression of this talented act.

Singer/songwriter/guitarist Marc Barry has really polis hed his songwriting abilities, letting loose his passions and talents all through the thirteen tracks.

The deep passion of th e acoustic "Marco Polo" and the dramatically burgeoning fervor in "Brother James" are great examples of Marc's talent in both a reas.

His throaty powerful vocals are backed more often by delicious harmonies on this CD, wonderfully evident in the balladi c jewel "King For A Day".

Even with the more acoustic feel to this CD, there are still some great hard-hitting rockers li ke "Drown" and "Dogged".

The rhythm machine is solidly anchored by the steady percussion groove of drummer Mike Linsey a nd the driving bass riffs of Brandon Mills.

With several songs that have "radio hit" written all over them and consequentia l widespread appeal, this CD could very well be the well-deserved launching pad for a hard working band from the Midwest.
