Note-oriety is James Madison University's premiere all-female a cappella group. Note-oriety's a cappella style is done completely by vocals and vocals alone. Even the accompaniment and percussion heard is done using only the voice.

Note-oriety is James Madison University's premier all-female a cappella group. It was founded in 1998 by a young woman who wanted to share music in a new and exciting style. We are a group of around 14 girls who come together and continue to share our love for music and each other. Note-oriety holds auditions every semester and is open to all JMU students. We do many concerts and fundraisers every year and usually go on tour about once a semester. "Fusion" is our third cd but we are currently in the process of recording our fourth cd, hopefully coming out in the spring of 2007.
