Jerry Jerry is a hip tribute to the Seinfeld TV show and favorite characters Jerry Seinfeld, George Costanza, Elaine Benes, and Cosmo Kramer, as well as Newman and their wacky parents.
4 MP3 Songs
POP: Quirky, GOSPEL: Contemporary Gospel
Details:
When "Seinfeld" went off the air after nine successful seasons, veteran songwriter Jill Katz decided to compose a song that summed up the countless hours of laughs and warm memories the characters have given fans over the years. She collaborated with Miami producer Richard Serotta and the resulting CD is as quirky as the show itself, and features a pop song, a dance mix, a karaoke cut for sing-alongs, and an unforgettable "Jerry's Choir" version sure to make fans smile.
The music for the disc was recorded by a band named "The Nothings," because that word more than anything else defined what the popular sitcom was all about.
The CD is "a clever and sensitive tribute to Jerry," said Kenny Kramer, who was the inspiration for the show's most eccentric character, "Kramer."
For those who wish to create a holiday stir at office parties, Katz has included the steps to a dance she created called "The Elaine." The steps are reminiscent of the popular episode in which the character Elaine embarrasses herself at an office party by breaking into a bizarre dance mode and stunning her colleagues.
"This is actually a great thing for anyone who can't dance," notes Katz. "If you learn the steps to 'The Elaine,' it will appear as if you are pretending you can't dance and no one will ever suspect anything to the contrary."
With thousands of Seinfeld fans still happily fixed on reruns, "Jerry Jerry" is attracting the attention of fans who want a collectible CD which commemorates the quirky "show about nothing."
