As a youngster growing up on the streets of Bellflower, P.A. found himself on the opposite side of the law on a few occasions. And after serving an 18-month sentence, he often refers to as a vacation; P.A. committed himself to perusing his childhood dream of becoming a legendary hip-hop artist. As an artist P.A. has developed an incredible commercially appealing sound that still manages to reflect hints of his experiences in the streets. This gives P.A. the potential of creating the same kind of commercial success as a Fat Joe, Fabulous, or even a Jay-Z.
His image is the personification of his sound and the beginning of a trend long over-due. It could be described as a departure from the stereotypical flashy, blingy, and show-off, rapper image that is now done to redundancy. But don't be mistaken, he is still easily recognized as a cut above the rest, event though he is always dressed in a plain T-shirt and a Dickie suit. You may even say, in his own way, he is taking hip-hop back to its roots. Back to a time when audiences were entertained by an M.C. that rocked the mic with simple catchy lyrics and a confident swagger instead of wowing people with big flashy rings and chains.
P.A.'s sound is neither East Coast nor the stereotypical West Coast sound. Rather, its a brand new sound emerging from the West, influenced by both, with a dash of R&B, old school hip-hop, and rock for spice. And appeals to most between the ages of 13-24.Primerilly to anyone that listens and relate to urban and pop music.
