Phobophobe is a three person, 6+ instrument indie/prog band from Seattle Washington. They've been playing shows in the Northwest since 2003 releasing their first full-length in late 2006.

Brady Hall, sings the majority of the vocals often while simultaneously playing drums and a small lo-tech portable keyboard. He also keeps an effected guiter near his set to create many of the alien atmospheres that contribute to Phobophobe's signature sound.

Mike Hitt, although only playing a single guitar, creates an orchestra of noises through delays, effects, and complex loops. He operates a tube-based VOX amplifier and rarely thinks in 4/4 time.

Rex Ray manages a unique "lead bass" construct bringing up-front distortion and background experimentation to traditional bass guitar stylings. He also plays keyboard on many songs.

From start to finish, âThe Raceâ takes its listeners on a journey from sweet serenity to strange complexity and back again. Similar to their 3-year history of self-released singles, this debut full-length album was written and self-produced entirely in the bandâs Georgetown studio with mastering done by Kurt Bloch.

The 3 members of Phobophobe met during their participation in the filming of the cult film, Jerkbeast (Directed by Brady Hall). They have been together and playing shows in and around the NorthWest U.S. since 2003 and show no signs of ever slowing down.
